The ECSO Lab (www.ecsolab.com) in the Department of Biological Sciences at Purdue University is looking for a motivated and independent postdoctoral researcher with an interest in evolutionary biology and systems biology. The proposed project is funded by the John Templeton Foundation and aims to investigate the evolutionary trajectory of nascent genes and their energetic costs in experimentally evolved populations. The ideal candidate should have prior experience and/or a strong interest in conducting genome and transcriptome sequencing and analysis, ribosome profiling (Ribo-Seq), and proteomics-based mass spectrometry.
