Quality Management Analyst 3
The University of Miami/UHealth department of Clinical Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Quality Management Analyst 3 to work at the UHealth Medical Campus. The Quality Management Analyst 3 conducts highly complex analysis while leading the design, planning, and production of reports and analysis related to quality performance metrics and outcomes measures for the University of Miami Health System that are defined by internal parameters to meet the mandates by state and federal programs, inclusive of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Maintains fluency of provider workflows across UHealth that influence outcome measures. Participates in strategic planning and conduct problem analysis for senior management.
Core Responsibilities
Performs measurement and benchmarking of performance measures in relation to best practices for the healthcare service industry and internal business objectives.
Provides performance indicator reports and benchmark narratives for performance improvement.
Monitors quality performance, outcomes and/or safety metrics to make recommendations for targeted process improvement projects.
Prepares overviews and interpretation of reports; and following up on assigned action items for various projects, meetings, and committees.
Assists with training departmental Quality champions governmental program requirements.
Performs problem analysis for strategic planning initiatives.
Solves data integrity issues as they arise, and monitor the addition of new data, analytics and reporting systems.
Interprets and translates data for senior management to clearly understand analysis and use it for meaningful decision making, and strategic planning purposes for the enterprise.
Act as a liaison with third party vendors of specialized business intelligence or database products, geographic information systems and data mining software.
Contacts regulatory agencies to research and clarify program rules.
Manages healthcare quality program departmental calendar to ensure all relevant submission dates, deadlines, and critical information stays current.
Assists with preparation of audit responses related to governmental program submissions prior to submission to third party; and positively collaborate with UMIT and HII.
Department Specific Functions
The Quality Management Analyst (QMA) 3-Inventory Control conducts highly complex analyses and leads initiatives related to inventory management within Clinical Engineering. This role is responsible for ensuring data integrity, compliance with healthcare standards, and continuous process improvements within the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) and Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS). The QMA 3-Inventory Control collaborates with senior leadership to implement strategic projects, optimize workflows, and deliver comprehensive reporting to support regulatory and operational objectives.
· Strategic Planning and Process Improvement:
Lead efforts in standardizing workflows and improving inventory management processes.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives related to CMMS and RTLS systems, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
· Complex Data Analysis:
Conduct advanced data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in inventory management.
Ensure the accuracy of inventory data and compliance with UHealth and regulatory standards.
Produce comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management on inventory performance and compliance metrics.
· Leadership and Training:
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts and Clinical Engineering staff on best practices in inventory management.
Develop and deliver training sessions and materials on CMMS and RTLS usage, with a focus on ensuring data integrity and compliance.
· Project Management:
Oversee functional-level project management for inventory control initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
· Data Validation and Reporting:
Validate and maintain the accuracy of inventory data within the CMMS and RTLS systems.
Generate reports on inventory performance and compliance, assisting with data interpretation for decision-making.
Support inventory audits and resolve discrepancies in inventory data under supervision.
· Process Improvement:
Collaborate with department leadership to standardize inventory management processes and implement best practices.
Assist in developing and refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to inventory control.
· Technical Support:
Support the implementation of new system features and updates through the development and implementation of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) protocols, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Compliance Support:
Help ensure compliance with inventory management policies and procedures.
Assist in maintaining documentation, such as operator manuals and preventive maintenance records.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in related field
Lean/Six Sigma yellow belt or above preferred (required within the first year of employment).
Minimum 3 years or relative experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Ability to work in various environmental conditions as needed.
Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
Ability to perform job duties independently with minimal supervision.
