This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Outreach Assistant position for the Office of Student Community Standards (SCS) at Oregon State University (OSU).
The Office of Student Community Standards (SCS) seeks to collaboratively create and maintain behavior expectations of students through proactive educational programming and training, educationally focused interventions, and fair and procedurally sound accountability processes. Academic, research, and scholarly integrity is of the utmost importance to Oregon State University (OSU). Upholding the standards of academic integrity is a shared responsibility between the Colleges, OSU students and the SCS office. As a staff member of this office, the Academic Integrity Support Assistant (AISA) plays an integral part in the SCS office’s ability to uphold behavior expectations of Oregon State University Students in a manner that promotes student learning and development, persistence and success.
The AISA supports the SCS staff with implementing and facilitating the Academic Integrity process and associated sanction(s). Using established curriculum, the AISA meets with each student completing the Academic Integrity Course to engage the student in a substantive discussion about what was learned from the sanction, what was learned from the academic integrity process, and how the student will apply this learning to future academic and career endeavors. Using the University conduct database, the AISA will maintain accurate written documentation of their work. Additionally, the AISA will generate reports to audit the timely completion of all sanctions and support the SCS staff in communicating with those students and student organizations that are not in compliance with the terms for completing assigned sanctions.
When needed, the AISA will support the SCS office with monitoring the office email account and by answering the SCS main phone line and providing callers with information about the student conduct process, how to schedule an appointment, how to submit paperwork verifying the completion of a sanctions, and make referrals to other student support services as needed.

Position Duties
Academic Integrity Course Facilitation and Assessment:
- Gather, review, and assess course assignments submitted by students.
- Schedule individual meetings with students who have completed the Academic Integrity Course to discuss course materials, submitted assignments, what was learned from the course, and how the learning will be applied to further academic and personal endeavors.
- Provide referrals to other campus resources as appropriate.
- Draft and submit accurate records of the student meeting into the University-approved database.
- Communicate to the SCS Assistant Director relevant issues and needs raised by students.
- Perform case closure tasks for those students who have successfully completed the course.
- Monitor timely course completion, using standard templates to notify students of failure to meet completion timelines.
- Generate and submit to the SCS Assistant Director reports requesting registration holds for those students who are not making timely progress in the completion of the course.
- Complete cumulative assessment of student learning.
Administrative Support for SCS staff:
- Assist the SCS Student Administrative Support Assistant with answering phones, providing callers and walk-in visitors with information about the student conduct process, responding to SCS emails, and scheduling appointments.
- Assist with special projects as directed by the SCS Assistant Director or their designee.
- Administrative Duties.
- Review confidential incident reports filed with the SCCS office to identify potential violations of the Code of Student Conduct, University policy, or student support needs.
- Develop individual student case files within the University conduct database.
- Draft communications to be sent to students using standard templates within the University conduct database.
- Assist with compiling and preparing distribution materials associated with outreach educational training and workshops.
- Assist with compiling and preparing for distribution materials associated with committee hearings.
Minimum Qualifications

- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of records as stipulated in FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act).
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all visitor, student, staff, faculty, and parent information.
- Ability to ask for clarification if needed before divulging any information outside of the Student Conduct and Community Standards office. The AISA must be able to travel to and from different locations in the suite and on-campus during their shift. The AISA must also be able to perform duties on a computer, phone, and/or copy machine with multiple interruptions and with a teamwork orientation during their shift.
