This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) E-Campus Teaching Assistant for the School of Marketing, Design, and Analytics at Oregon State University (OSU).
This Design Research Assistant role offers meaningful experience at the intersection of design, innovation, and research, with the chance to contribute to shaping an engaging online learning environment.

The role offers hands-on experience in design education. Responsibilities include engaging in discussion, grading, and contributing to strategizing improvements for an upcoming course redesign to enhance the learning experience.
Pay rate for this position is $16.05 per hour.
Position Duties
- Support class activities and discussions online
- Assist with student engagement and facilitation
- Help organize and manage course materials
- Contribute to strategizing improvements for an upcoming course redesign
- Provide administrative and logistical support as needed
Minimum Qualifications

- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Additional Required Qualifications
Interest in design research and education. Preference for College of Business Students or Alumni who have successfully completed DSGN 341 and/or DSGN 440. Must not be currently enrolled in DSGN 440.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
- Ability to foster inclusive, substantive dialogue and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Proficiency with Canvas and related tools (Zoom, Miro, Google Slides).
- Strong time-management skills, meeting grading and communication deadlines and troubleshooting basic tech issues.
- Familiarity with design thinking, design research, or systemic/relational design.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
The grading will be done with supervision by the instructor
and there is flexibility as to when and where that can be
done. The student should expect to work between 5-8 hours a
