Job Summary
The laboratory of Dr. Deanna Gates in the School of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan seeks to hire a full-time Research Biomechanist to work on federally funded projects. This lab uses quantitative and qualitative methods to assess prosthetic interventions. The successful candidate will be reliable, conscientious, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. This person will also possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and demonstrate cultural competence and a commitment to working with individuals with impairments.

Additional Information
This is a term-limited appointment, funded for 2 years; the initial appointment may be extended depending on the availability of research funds and successful performance. The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000, commensurate with education and experience, and eligibility to participate in the school's 2026 merit program. An offer may be extended outside the general salary range shared in this posting based on equity, experience, knowledge, and skills for this role. This is a full-time position with work taking place on-site at the School of Kinesiology, 830 N. University, Ann Arbor, MI.
