Position Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Cleaner I provides cleaning and
portering services throughout the University complex.
This position requires work hours Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Essential Functions
∙Provides cleaning and portering services in both academic and residential
University buildings.
∙Removes recyclables and trash in accordance with University procedures.
∙Delivers mail in the buildings.
∙Rearranges furniture and does move jobs when requested.
∙Keep building entrances and perimeters free of snow, ice, leaves,
garbage, etc., as needed.
∙Must sign in and out for all keys.
∙Assumes responsibilities for all types of floor and carpet work.
∙Performs other duties as required.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
∙High School Diploma or GED required.
∙Minimum of six months of prior cleaning experience.
Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills
∙Must be able to read English and follow written instructions.
∙Must have knowledge of general cleaning techniques and preventative
maintenance, including standard use of power washers, standup vacuums
& backpack vacuums.
∙Knowledge of effective and safe usage of all floor machines.
∙Knowledge of usage of handheld tools.
∙Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to
the goals of Jesuit Education.
Minimum Biweekly Salary for Internal Applicants with 3 or more years of service:
$2,441.60
Maximum Biweekly Salary for Internal Applicants with 3 or more years of service:
2,441.60
Minimum Biweekly Salary for New Employees: $1,953.60
Maximum Biweekly Salary for New Employees: $1,953.60
